Tom Edholm
Founding Principal
Tom majored in Marketing at the University of Minnesota and started working at 3M in 1991. Tom’s mentor at 3M encouraged him to gain as much experience in all areas of the supply chain and multiple industries as possible. This way, you know how everything fits together. Tom quickly received his APICS CPIM certification and won 3M’s largest award twice. He was also an early adopter of recycling and helped spearhead it across 3M where he won another award.
Tom has extensive expertise in planning, sourcing, capacity modeling, forecasting, inventory optimization, S&OP, Purchasing and sourcing, along with implementing and optimizing ERP packages.
While at Celestica Tom was Program Manager for the fastest computer in the world and largest computer at that time. Tom later started his career in regulated industries by joining CR Bard in the medical device industry. While there, he took a Class D ERP plant to Class A in 18 months. He was then asked to travel all over the world to assist other plants with improving their supply chain. That earned Tom a promotion where he was both a Plant Manager and a Director of Supply Chain. He also led operations and supply chain integration on 4-5 different acquisitions.
Throughout his career, Tom became known for his ability to take an underperforming supply chain to the next level. He doesn’t just use the system, he understands the logic underneath and that led to an opportunity to help design the MRP process of a new ERP package called Masterplan.
Tom also had the opportunity to lead large sourcing initiatives and set up contract manufacturing. Tom excels at identifying savings opportunities in new contract negotiations that don’t just improve unit cost but looks at total cost, including freight, payment terms and inventory impacts.
Tom earned a BS degree from the University of Minnesota and is working on his final dissertation for an MBA. Tom is married with 2 adult children. One is a disabled Army veteran and the other works in social work with abused children and adults trying to turn their lives around. He also has 3 Grand Children and loves four-wheeling and ancient exploring in the Arizona desert.

Adam Harris
Founding Principal
Adam’s supply chain consulting contributions have spanned a variety of industries including Aerospace, Semi-conductor, Chemicals, Consumer packaged goods, and Energy. These projects have leveraged his strong operational background, project management, systems expertise, and process/people skills.
Adam’s professional career began at Adexa’s Advanced planning software solutions in Toronto, Canada. Adam started with Adexa as an associate consultant, eventually promoted to senior management roles including – senior consultant, project manager, program manager and engagement manager. At Adexa, Adam had the opportunity to work with companies including but not limited to Micron, Seagate, Morton Salt, Boehringer-Ingelheim and IDT. The projects included process improvements and systems implementation with focus on
- S&OP – Process implementation and enablement through technology.
- ERP/MRP Optimization – Process improvement and system implementation and optimization.
Adam’s career continued with lead roles in Hexcel and Dupont, where he continued to work on various continuous improvement projects which resulted in the following:
Better visibility of supply chains – At Dupont, Adam worked with project teams in defining the correct roles (as per APICS standards), worked on change management, helped define the correct calendars and implemented an advanced planning application which optimized long term constrained planning. This resulted in an inventory reduction of $2M in the first year and improved forecast accuracy from 70% – 80% in the first year.
ERP optimization – at Hexcel and Select Energy – Adam worked with various teams in optimizing parameters in the enterprise-wide ERP tool. This resulted in process improvements, better data controls and improved system usage rather than relying on Excel. This improved the overall perception of the tool and improved the user experience.
Adam holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from York University and did post-graduate course work at Kettering University (M. Sc in Operations and Supply Chain).
